Our team aims to create a unique collection in which up to 30 cities of Ukraine will be presented. The collection will contain illustrations by local illustrators of the most significant landmarks of each city: buildings, squares, districts or other iconic places, as well as a brief history of each such place and real memories and stories of local residents about such places in their hometown.
The task of the project is to draw the attention of the world community to the problems of restoring damaged or destroyed cities of Ukraine due to the military aggression of the invader, as well as to the problems of development and improvement of other cities of our country, which have become a support and a new home for hundreds of thousands of internally displaced persons.
This is our way of reminding that the strength of the Ukrainian people is in their native land, which is part of our cultural heritage, which we will pass on to the next, certainly free generation of Ukrainians!
The following will be involved in the implementation of the project:
– talented and promising illustrators, natives of cities. Each of them will present their own view of their hometown through their creative works, which will be included in the collection;
– native residents or historians (connoisseurs of the history of a specific city) of each city selected for the collection, namely their short stories, memories and hopes for the future of their hometown, which will be used in the collection;
– publishers who also specialize in releasing material in audio format and beautiful voices for recording in this format;
– translators, to translate the collection into several languages of the world, in particular: English, Polish, German, French and Italian;
– literary editors, writers and compilers of the collection;
– digital specialists for graphics, editing and other types of content-making.
The selection of cities for the collection is planned to be made through open voting in the social networks of our public organization not only among the population of Ukraine, but also of other countries of the world.
The collection is planned to be released in paper form for free distribution on the territory of Ukraine (including for the provision of educational institutions and communities of the cities that will be described), as well as in digital format, including as an audio book, for distribution online at voluntary donation in any amount for the opportunity to download the file with the collection. All funds received for online distribution will be used to support the development and existing of our organization.
