After Ukraine victory in war against russian federation, we are sure that our country will become a very popular place among tourists from other countries and will become the tourist center of Europe. People will come here not just to see places of main battles and pay respect to heroes of Ukraine that gave their lives for the freedom of our country, but also to visit and see various interesting and scenic places of our homeland. Usually, there are no problems finding router to travel them by car, but bike tourists can face some difficulties about finding information about bicycle routes — as there are no sources with data about routes that are adapted specially for foreign tourists.
Our project team, involving experts, specialists in the relevant fields and also ordinary Ukrainian amateur cyclists have a foal to make a unique mobile app, that will help our foreign guests easily get acquainted with a huge number of different cycling routes, choose one (or couple) of them, ride it and get unforgettable experience from the trip.
App features:
- all routes will be created by real Ukrainian cyclists, who personally drove their routes;
- every route will be adapted for cyclists, depending on their experience, so they can see all points of interest (POI) in particular route:
– cyclists who can travel approx. 20 km per day – “light” level;
– cycling tourists, who cover significant distances with different types of road surfaces – “amateur” level;
– experienced cyclists that can travel more than 150 kilometers a day with ease and also leave time for a leisurely breakfast and a good evening stroll – “pro” level;
- every route will have a description with photos and brief description from the creators of these routes;
- The app will be available in different languages: Ukrainian, English, German, French, Polish and Italian.
- The app will have two subscription levels: first one, “Free” – with access to limited number of routes in every region of Ukraine. Second one “Premium” – will provide access to all routes stored in database;
- “Free” access will be available for Ukrainian and foreign tourists, with possibility to make voluntary donation for using the application.
- “Premium” access will be available for Ukrainian and foreign tourists who will make obligatory payment, with the amount that depends only on the user’s personal choice.
- Route database will be replenished and updated periodically;
- The application will contain only routes that pass on public asphalt/tarmac roads with a minimum of gravel/unpaved sections.
Funds that will be received for using the application in the form of “donations” will be distributed as follows: a part will be transferred to the arrangement of the necessary signs along the routes, the organization of pit stops, drinking fountains and brief information about cultural attractions, a part will be used to maintain life activities organization and continued development and moderation of this project.
